Zicatela Beach

Zicatela beach is located to east of Puerto Escondido, is one of the most recognized beaches in the world for surfing.Sports events, championships, fishing, all that and more you can find in Zicatela beach.

You can take surfing classes, extreme sports, fishing, do camping or yoga, you can also stroll in its colorful streets, enjoy its restaurants, bars and cafes where a bohemian and nice.

Where to stay in Zicatela Beach?

If your plan is to go with your friends or travel alone in order to meet other travelers, a place to stay is “Cabañitas Buena Onda” with bungalows and comfortable rooms. Being a backpacker destination, you will find many travelers who prefer camping at very affordable prices (between 5 and 10 dollars per day).

There are different types of food, either international or typical state food in the downtown restaurants. You can go to "los tíos", it's a good place to eat.

Puerto Escondido

Puerto Escondido is a port city and a seaside resort on the Pacific coast, in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. It is known for its many beaches and its lively nightlife. Main Beach is surrounded by palm trees and thatched roof bars. The busy Zicatela Beach is known for the surf break known as the "Mexican Pipeline." Nearby is La Punta beach with smaller waves. Carrizalillo beach is located in a cove sheltered by steep cliffs. In Puerto Escondido you can visit unique places, the food there is delicious.  It’s a lovely place!
